In the Name of God Amen
I GEORGE BROMFIELD of Birmingham in the County of Warwick Gun Stock Maker being weak in Body but of Sound Mind Memory and understanding (Blessed be God) do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) First and Principally I commit my Soul to Almighty God and my Body to the Earth [there] to be decently Buried according to the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named Item I give to my Loving Wife ELIZABETH BROMFIELD all my Leasehold Buildings situate in Needless Alley in Birmingham aforesaid with my Book debts together with all my personal Estates whatsoever to hold during her Life and after her decease I give the same to my son RICHARD BROMFIELD and my Daughter SARAH EDMONDS to be equally divided between them share and share alike after paying all my just debts and it is my Will that if my Son RICHARD BROMFIELD aforesaid should die before my Wife ELIZABETH that my Granddaughter ELIZABETH BROMFIELD daughter of my said Son RICHARD BROMFIELD shall have the share equal with my daughter SARAH EDMONDS Likewise that if my Daughter SARAH EDMONDS should die before my aforesaid Wife ELIZABETH it is my Will that her share be equally divided amongst all my Grandchildren born of the Body of my aforesaid Daughter SARAH EDMONDS that may be then living share and share alike and further it is my Will that if my Granddaughter ELIZABETH BROMFIELD aforesaid should die in the Life time of my aforesaid Wife ELIZABETH that the share of my aforesaid Granddaughter ELIZABETH BROMFIELD be equally divided to and amongst all my Grandchildren that may be then Living and I also appoint and ordain my Son RICHARD BROMFIELD with my aforesaid wife ELIZABETH BROMFIELD and my Daughter SARAH EDMONDS aforesaid to be Executors of this my last Will In Witness whereof I the said GEORGE BROMFIELD have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this twenty [ ] Day of February in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and eighty seven – GEORGE BROMFIELD – Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the said Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have Subscribed our names as Witnesses thereto - FRANCIS ROOMJOSEPH DOLEY

This Will was proved at London on the Fifth Day of February in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and ninety five before the Right Honorable Sir William Wynne Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully Constituted by the Oath of SARAH EDMONDS Wife of EDWARD EDMONDS the Daughter and one of the Surviving Executrixes to whom administration was granted of all and singular of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased having been first sworn by Commission duly to administer power reserved of making the like grant to ELIZABETH BROMFIELD Widow the Relict and the other Surviving Executrix when she shall apply for the same
