This is the last Will and Testament of me HANNAH WILLIFER Widow of the Parish of Wardington in the County of Oxford made this twenty eighth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five  I give devise and bequeath to my son JOSEPH HIGHAM Farmer of Morton Pinkney all and every the two freehold messuages cottages or tenements with yards gardens and all appurtenances thereto belonging situate and being in the parish of Wardington in the County of Oxford and now in the occupation of WILLIAM JOB and JOHN [GLEN] to him his heirs and assigns for ever and further I give devise and bequeath to my said son JOSEPH HIGHAM All and every my other property all my money securities for money goods chattels and all other description of property which I may be possessed of at my decease and I do hereby appoint my said son JOSEPH HIGHAM sole Executor of this my last will and testament and I hereby revoke all other wills by me made and do declare this to be my last will and testament

In witness whereof I the testator have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written – HANNAH WILLIFER – Signed sealed published and declared by the within named testator as and for her last will and testament who in the presence of us who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses the day and year above written – JAMES GILKES[LAVIS] [BODILEY]

Whereas JOSEPH HIGHAM mentioned in my will is in the Register of his Baptism described JOSEPH HYAM I make this Codicil the sole purpose of making out that the person so mentioned is one and the same person  February the twenty third one thousand eight hundred and forty eight – The mark of X - HANNAH WILLIFER – Witness EDWARD STACEY JONATHAN STACEY

Appeared Personally JONATHAN STACEY of Wardington in the County of Oxford Farmer and made oath that he is one of the attesting witnesses to the Codicil to the last will and testament of HANNAH WILLIFER late of the Parish of Wardington in the County of Oxford Widow a depositure in the Banbury Savings Bank deceased bearing date the twenty third day of February one thousand eight hundred and forty eight and now hereunto annexed and he further made oath that on the twenty third day of February one thousand eight hundred and forty eight aforesaid the said testatrix duly executed her said Codicil by making her mark at the foot or end thereof in the presence of this deponent and of EDWARD STACEY the other attesting witness thereto who were then together present at the same time with the said testatrix and this deponent and the said EDWARD STACEY thereupon attested and subscribed the said Codicil in the presence of the said testatrix and of each other – JONATHAN STACEY – on the fifteenth day of February 1850 the said JONATHAN STACEY was duly sworn to the truth of this affidavit by virtue of the annexed Commision Before me Charles B. Auber Commr.

Proved at London with a Codicil 26th February 1850 before the Judge by the oaths of JOSEPH HYAM otherwise HIGHAM the son the sole executor to whom admon was granted having been first sworn (by Commission) duly to administer
