The Wardington Inclosure Act was passed in 1761.  Its purpose was to divide and inclose the open and common fields, common meadows, common grounds and waste ground within Wardington, Williamscott and Coton, all within the county of Oxford.  The Act does not, however, specify who was to be granted lands subsequent to the inclosure.  This was dealt with at a later date.
