This Will was found amongst family papers.  The copy was unsigned and no witnesses were listed.  It is therefore not clear whether the Will was ever executed by Richard Hirons, and nor has it been possible to locate a copy that was proved by a Court.
 











This is the last Will and Testament of me RICHARD HIRONS the elder of Grimsbury in the County of Northampton Gentleman  I give and devise all my messuages or tenements lands and hereditaments whether freehold or copyhold situate at Waddesden or elsewhere in the county of Buckingham subject to and charged with the payment of the legacies hereinafter mentioned unto my son RICHARD HIRONS his heirs and assigns for ever  Also I give and bequeath unto MARY HIRONS  WILLIAM HIRONS  ELEANOR HIRONS  SARAH HIRONS  RICHARD HIRONS children of my son WILLIAM HIRONS the sum of Five hundred pounds each when  and as they shall respectively attain their respective ages of twenty one years but in case any or either of the children of my said son WILLIAM shall depart this life under the age of twenty one years then I direct that the legacy or legacies hereinbefore bequeathed to him her or them respectively shall not vest in or be paid to such child or children dying as aforesaid but shall sink for the benefit of my said son RICHARD his heirs or assigns and I direct that the said legacies shall respectively bear interest at the rate of Two pounds ten shillings per centum per annum from the time the said children shall respectively attain the age of fifteen years until the said legacies shall respectively become payable and that such interest shall or may be paid to their said Father or applied by my said son RICHARD for their benefit respectively although the legacy or legacies in respect of which the same shall be payable shall not then be vested or ultimately may not become vested

In Witness whereof I the said RICHARD HIRONS the Testator have to this my last Will and testament set my hand and seal this sixth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven
