The thirteenth of February Anno Domini 1717-18 I JOHN FOORD of Goring the County of Oxon yeoman being sick in Body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to Almighty God and calling to remembrance the uncertain Estate of this Transitory Life and all flesh must yield unto Death when it shall please God to call doe make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following First being penitent and Sorry for all my Sins most humbly desiring forgiveness for the same I commend my Soul to Almighty God my God my Saviour and Redeemer in whom and by whose meritts I trust and believe assuredly (to be Saved) and to have full remission and forgiveness of all my Sins and to Inherit the Kingdom of Heaven and my body I commit to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named And for the settling of my Temporall Estate and such Goods Chattels and Debts as it hath pleased God to bestow upon me I doe order Give and dispose  the same in manner and forms following (that is to say) Imprimis I give and bequeath to by beloved son SAMUEL FOORD the sume of fifty pounds of good and lawfull money of England Item I give and bequeath to my beloved son JOHN FOORD one shilling his portion being paid him already Item I give and bequeath to my beloved son BERNARD FOORD one shilling he also having had his portion already Item I give and bequeath to my beloved son and daughter PARKER one shilling apiece their portion too being already payd Item I give and bequeath to my beloved son HENRY FOORD the sume of one hundred pounds of good and lawfull money of England Item I Give and bequeath to my beloved son PERFECT FOORD the sume of one hundred pounds of like lawfull money of England And concerning the Legacys given by me to my Sons SAMUEL and HENRY FOORD my Will is that they shall be paid within twelve months of my decease and as for the Legacy given to me to my son PERFECT my Will is that he shall receive it soo soon as he shall arrive to the age of one and twenty years But in case the said PERFECT FOORD dyes before he comes to that age his Legacy shall be equally divided amongst the surviving of all my Children and I doe hereby make constitute and ordain KATHERINE my dearly beloved Wife full and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament Hereby disallowing revoking and disannulling all and every other former Testaments Wills and Lecacys bequests and Executors by me in any ways before this tyme named Willed and bequeathed Ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament
